Breakfast at Number One begins with a buffet of cereals, fresh, local fruit, granola, yoghurt, nuts and fruit juices. We also offer you Kingsdown mineral water. This is complemented by an extensive gourmet breakfast menu.
We are focused on providing locally produced and supplied ingredients in our breakfasts. With Lizzy Douglas from the Black Pig butchers in Deal supplying her special recipe breakfast sausages and bacon, local suppliers provide in season fruit whilst the Hog & Bean cafe roasts and grinds our coffee.
The selection includes the full English (with a choice of extras depending on what’s available, such as haggis, black pudding, white pudding, kidneys and fried potato); smoked salmon and scrambled eggs you would normally expect, along with Egg Benedict and Egg Royale and vegetarian options. We also have monthly specials which could be kedgeree, halloumi hash or avocado on toast.
If you let us know in advance we are able to accommodate most special dietary needs. We will also provide details of any allergens in our food on request and will provide suitable alternatives where possible.

Our jams, marmalade, mustard, sauces and honey are produced by Farmhouse Kitchen at Bridge and the apple juice is made and bottled at Forstal Marsh in Preston (Kent). All our suppliers are pleased for us to offer their products for sale during your stay and you will find a price list in the breakfast menu.
